Excerpts from a review of a concert of Morton Feldman’s music at the studio by the Philadelphia Inquirer’s classical music critic David Patrick Stearns: “Roughly 30 people were seated in the Biello Martin Studio in Old City to hear Feldman’s late-period Palais de Mari in a room that felt like a parallel-universe Victorian parlor … Chandeliers were everywhere. Expansive cylinders of fringe hung down from the studio’s high ceiling … the music definitely benefited … the sound picture was more compact … and pianist Gordon Beeferman’s digital articulation felt more intense.”  (6/8/11)
